Job Summary

Compass Group, one of the world’s largest food and support service companies has a new opportunity, we are hiring a Director of Strategic Enablement & Projects to join our team. The Director will be dedicated to leading our strategic enablement and project management teams. Reporting directly to the SVP of Global Strategy Operations, this person will be partnering closely with the SVP on a variety of strategic, operational, and organizational matters. You will play a key role in shaping the business through process improvement, building out the accounts enablement function and helping to drive the long-term strategy. This role requires someone who has a strategic, business and operational mindset with bias for action; thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; and easily partners successfully with a wide group of stakeholders.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead a strategic project management and enablement team through project deployment, strategic initiatives launches, workflow management, cross-department deployments, and career development as needed.

  • Oversee multiple projects touching any combination of food and support services, enterprise-wide process change and/or large-scale solution delivery for 200+ sites across North America.

  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with all stakeholders, including senior executives, sponsors, business owners and field operations.

  • Drive measurement of key priorities, goals and QBR’s in coordination with the Strategic Program Management Team. Lead and orchestrate planning and fiscal year priorities process in partnership with the leadership team.

  • You will partner across people strategy, operations, finance, business strategy, DEI, and other global teams to help us effectively and efficiently operate a complex and diverse organization.

  • Drive the development and execution of the rhythm of business including, but not limited to business reviews, business planning processes, resource management, leadership meetings, cross-organizational business reporting, to help the business run smoothly and effectively. This includes developing agendas and managing key leadership meetings to ensure that important decisions and action items are fully addressed.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with relevant experience working with innovative consumer brands that have a strong digital brand presence.

  • A strong work ethic with a keen sense of urgency to support clients, colleagues, or stakeholders.

  • Possess a proactive business mindset that can easily adjust to ever-changing sales cycle.

  • Experience with Community of Practice (CoP) framework and approach

  • Ability to develop and own senior stakeholder relationships; influence through others.

  • Strong organizational, communication, written, and presentation skills. Presenting in front of clients, executives, virtual platforms, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7+ years of experience, or 5+ year of experience post-MBA in strategy, project management, operations, business management or related roles

  • Track record of building successful enablement programs and managing projects in a matrixed organization

  • Experience leading a high performing fast paced virtual teams and developing people

  • Ability to adapt quickly to evolving needs of a high-growth team and work with global teams

  • High emotional intelligence and deep commitment to progressive diversity and inclusion practices

  • Excellent writing skills. Previous experience crafting c-suite level communications, white papers, and client facing narratives is highly preferred.

  • Collaborative mindset with senior leadership team, operating partners, and sector leadership
