Job Summary

As the Division Controller you will be responsible for the financial management and reporting for the Canteen Commissary business. You will serve as a strategic business partner to the Division President and will report directly to the CFO. Through this partnership you will work to expand revenues through new client sales, existing client retention and Sector Partner business and drive profitability through expenses tracking. You will be expected to drive process innovation and efficiencies through the organization. Additionally, you will manage all the accounting and control functions including all revenue and expense reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and monthly financial reporting requirements through the finance teams at the commissary facilities throughout the country.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead operational finance support team for $300M business.

  • Work closely with Division President and district management to strategically develop and lead operational initiatives in order to generate revenue and increase profits.

  • Correct accurate and detailed reporting of all accounting entries.

  • Establish and maintain proper internal controls to protect company assets including Internal Control Review and balance sheet analysis.

  • Maintain strong focus on Corporate Governance and compliance.

  • Responsible for, or assists with, training and development of all accounting staff within the Division.

  • Provides financial support to operations and lends financial perspective to business issues facing the Division.

  • Assists with new business analysis and provides financial perspective of risks and opportunities to Division President.

  • Work with Sector CFO on acquisitions.

  • Support the transition of acquisition business onto company systems.

  • Continually challenge the status quo and look to provide added value.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, Business, Accounting or Finance; MBA, CPA preferred.

  • A minimum of seven years accounting or financial experience.

  • Food and support service industry experience would be an advantage.

  • Strong negotiation, communication, presentation, and analytical skills required.

  • Able to travel up to 30%.

  • Hands on experience with process improvement methodologies, project management, and change management strongly preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal, influencing and team skills.

  • Must be highly proficient with the use of computers and software including but not limited to Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook.

  • Experience with SAP or Sage preferred.
