Job Summary:

The National Director of Coffee Technical Services is a strategic role responsible for the overall operational strategy, equipment supplier, field support and training for the Coffee line of businesses within Canteen. This critical role includes key responsibilities, such as:

• Partner with Foodbuy to negotiate new and existing contracts with equipment suppliers to enhance margins across the portfolio

• Be knowledgeable on equipment trends and evaluate innovation to balance market opportunities with sound inventory management practices

• Responsible for successful roll-out and adoption of equipment programs

• Assist on execution and communication for all new product, incentives and roll outs.

• Own communication and distribution of all coffee equipment communication to the field

• Lead training for technicians, Sales, OCS branches and Franchise partners.

• Support Sales, C1 and field for client meetings and equipment selection/ presentations for new and existing business

• Drive margin improvement, incremental growth and non-product opportunities and operations standards

• Liaison between Canteen and other sectors for operational support

To be successful in this role, a candidate should have:

• Solid understanding of varied coffee retail environments

• Experience leading others

• Experience navigating a multifaceted and matrixed organization, often with multiple collaborators

• Experience in the CPG, retail, and/or contract food services industry

• Intermediate to expert level Microsoft 365 skills, especially PowerPoint, Word, and Excel (including pivot tables)

• Bonus points for Canva, Sigma and/or Adobe Creative Suite

• Experience with client relations

• Technical knowledge of equipment capabilities, features, specs a plus
