Job Summary
Summary: Performs cashiering duties, including making accurate credit card transactions and reporting. Cashiers will also be responsible for setting-up, maintaining and cleaning their workstation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet guests, guide guests through their ordering, resolve guest issues and properly inform guests of cashless transactions.
Performs POS sales transactions in a timely fashion.
Follows standard procedures for issuing refunds.
Interacts with customers and resolves customer complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
Replenishes food and beverage, and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service areas.
Keeps all areas stocked.
Ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
Ensures compliance with all sanitation, ServSafe and safety requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent a plus.
Convention Center, Arena and/or Hotel experience preferred.
Considerable skill in the use of a POS system.
Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
Ability to stand and move in a high pace environment and continuously perform essential job functions.
Ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers and patrons.
Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.
