Job Summary
Supervises hourly associates to ensure their practices comply with company policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists Culinary staff with intake and organization of product, maintenance of storage areas, and proper storage of equipment/smallwares.
Maintains evolving standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and accountability for Dish Team staff.
Supervises and trains hourly staff to ensure policy and procedures are properly implemented and followed as laid out by Chef team.
Maintains consistent, efficient service during peak volume and events, and incentivizes associates to do the same.
Works in conjunction with FOH to setup and breakdown large catering events to speed up services.
Follows principles of sanitation and safety in handling all food and equipment.
Works diligently to ensure a fun, positive, and clean workspace for all staff.
Assists in daily maintenance of shared FOH and BOH areas, including but not limited to Kitchen, Dish Room, Offices, Bathrooms, and other property areas.
Ensures regular usage of daily and bi-weekly cleaning logs as explained and designed by Executive Chef, and regularly verifies task completion with associates.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of sanitation standards and health regulations.
Proven experience in a similar role within a food service environment.
Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Ability to work in an environment where teamwork and cooperation are essential.
Reliable transportation is a must.
Flexibility with schedule in accordance with event format and necessary changes as they present themselves.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
