Job Summary:

Working as the HR Generalist, your primary focus will be to support the Human Resources function so that it meets both the needs of the business and of our associates. You will take the lead role in all of the following functional areas: associate relations, HR specific training, HR legal requirements and compliance, development and revision of HR policies and procedures, associate engagement survey action plan follow up, performance and merit increase monitoring, hiring non-exempt associates and managing data associated with bonus administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists with addressing any benefits or payroll questions/concerns

  • Assists with recruiting efforts for CCL positions/departments

  • First level point of contact for any employee relations concerns

  • Provide interpretation and guidance on all company policies

  • Monitors employee files to ensure regulatory readiness and accuracy

  • Provides guidance and direction to department leadership for progressive counseling

  • Assists with onboarding and orientation of new associates

  • Participates in community HR meetings for alignment with community practices

  • Assists in validating all mandatory educations, trainings, licenses are up to date

  • Assists with off-cycle or special payroll processing (bonuses, terminations, etc.)

  • Assists with creating HR related reports (retention, turnover, recruiting throughout, etc.)

  • Assists with guidance/direction for LOA/FMLA- referring associates/managers to LOA

  • Superuser for Employee Self Service sites and PeopleHub

  • Assists with employee access to required apps/sites through MyAccess and MyCompass

  • Assists with uniform and safety shoe ordering

  • Participates in department meetings, client meetings, QBRs

  • Assists with roll out of HR policy changes

  • All other duties as assigned within scope of the role

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.

  • PHR or SPHR designation strongly preferred.

  • Three plus years human resources generalist experience required; management experience a plus.

  • HR experience at a large, multi-unit organization required.

  • Previous experience as part of a centralized HR environment, preferably in a corporate setting.

  • Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills; advanced skills preferred.

  • Experience responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.

  • Strong presentation skills required.

  • Training certification a plus (i.e. Zenger-Miller, Stephen Covey, etc.).
