Job Summary

As a Catering Manager, you will have the unique opportunity to lead and manage our exceptional Catering Department. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of catering events including coordinating logistics, dropping off catering to client, and ensuring flawless service to our clients during events, including proper set-up, cleaning, and breakdown procedures.

You will collaborate with the GM and Executive Chef to create innovative menus, training and leading catering associate's in service techniques and customer service and supervise labor and food costs for each event.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise and executive all catering events.

• Events will be in Manhattan area, and a company vehicle will be provided for events.

• Involved in catering events operations, including logistics, quality improvement, sanitation, and all facility-related activities.

• Works with the Executive Chef and GM in creating menus.

• Trains catering associates in service techniques, menu presentation, and customer service.

• Tracks and monitors the labor and food cost for each event.

• Communicates on various levels to include management, client, customer and associate levels; maintains excellent client relationships.

• Assists in the responsibility for all foodservice-related activities.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Work schedule may include weekends depending on event schedule.

Qualifications:

• At least 3-5 years of catering experience including 3 years at management level.

• Experience in food service operations, including supporting high-volume events.

• Some knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.

• Financial, budgetary, accounting and computational skills.

• Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.

• ServSafe Certification.

• A valid Driver's License is required, as you will drive a Company vehicle to the events.

• Flexible to work weekends, depending on event schedule.
